DAVID & ALI

Today Soho again... met David and Ali who are crossed with me and insist I go to visit them in Dubai asap!
Well with all the doom and gloom I wish I could get a job in Dubai somewhere and go and live there for a year or so?

We had a little too much to drink with an adonis greek friend of them whose name I´ve forgotten. I´ll blame it to Compton´s 2x1 offer on mondays!
Fabio at Barcode was nice and he made sure our glasses weren´t empty...
Well I regret it now. Home alone, it´s 2:30 and I am working at 10am!

I´m a bad boy, really bad.

IRAN AIR

I never knew Iran Air wanted to buy Concorde!

GONE ALL TECH: WIDGETS, FLIGHTTRACKER AND THE JAPANESE MAGLEV

Well I have been very tech this past two days:

WIDGETS: go to http://widgets.yahoo.com and discover the world of widgets... well apparently these have existed for a while but I have only just come accross them! my favourites are facebook, world clock, the weather and my to-do calendar! They are shown on the screen permanently so you don´t have to open a window and sign in or anything... they are always there, on your desktop. I love them!

FLIGHT TRACKER: http://www.flightstats.co.uk allows you to track flights. So you enter the flight number and date and it will bring up all the information about times and a map showing where the flight is at that moment... now it doesn´t seem to work very well for long haul flights specially out of the US but I am impressed!

THE JAPANESE MAGLEV is a prototype magnetic train that reaches more than 580km/h speeds... that is very fast (considering planes fly at an average 800-900 km/h!)

DAY OFF IN LONDON

So, after so much work work work I can´t complain I have also had my fair share of time off. I have gone up to Soho and I am gutted to think that I should really get out more. I haven´t been up to town lately and I truly forgot what London is all about.
London is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, there is a vast variety of people that makes this city unique. I am amazed also at the lots of people who actually dress up to walk around town. Everybody is minding their own business, beautiful people, different people, streets are buzzing, pubs are full from 3.30pm, and especially if its a sunny day -we have some of those- the pub is empty and everyone is drinking outside!

My time in London today was very enjoyable and in very good company, albeit I never got the stolen kiss I was hoping for. But I saw people I hadn´t seen in a long while, I bumped into Shaun and Pepe, I saw Jone and Juanvi, and had a bite to eat with Matt at a new Madeiran restaurant we´ve just discovered! Matt gave me some buscuits he got for me in Brussels and gaiety´s from Australia, I have had tea at Matt´s too, his place is fabulous, right in the middle of Vauxhall and it made me feel bad that I am living outside London...

And I don´t know if its normal, but it happened to me that, when at Matt´s, I felt totally clueless and ignorant to many things art, music and modern technology... He played beautiful songs by Cesaria Evora, a famous singer from the Cape Verde Islands. This from iTunes in his mac laptop wireless attached to an airrouter something so the music comes through the hifi system loudspeakers...(How?) and all whilst he tells me how he brought his aboriginal art paintings on the walls all the way from Australia. I feel bad.

good night everyone!

CHICKEN A LA CARTE

I just watched this video and it really makes you realize how selfish we are and how many times we forget about the reality of millions of people in this planet.
We are caught up in our own little realities and forget how lucky we are.
